Kentro Group Advances $3 Million Harrison Development
Body Alive signs the first lease as the developer prepares to begin construction on new commercial space beside the existing Kroger.
Kentro Group is preparing to begin construction on an approximately $3 million commercial development at 10477 Harrison Ave., adjacent to the existing Kroger store. The project is expected to create 60 to 75 new jobs.
Body Alive has signed a lease for 3,000 square feet, becoming the development’s first confirmed tenant. Kentro Group is targeting additional retail and restaurant businesses seeking smaller spaces, from local operators to national brands.
Construction and Leasing
The building permit for the shell is approved. According to the developer’s current schedule, construction is expected to begin within four to eight weeks, with space delivered to tenants in the first quarter of 2027. Some businesses are expected to begin opening in August 2027.
Discussions with additional prospective tenants are in various stages, and the developer is reviewing letters of intent. Further tenant announcements are anticipated over the next two to six months as agreements are finalized.
Harrison’s Retail Market
Elliot Smith of Kentro Group cited the performance of the neighboring Kroger store and the planned Target as factors supporting the site’s appeal.
“Harrison is very business friendly, and we have enjoyed working with their development staff,” Smith said. “We have been involved with the property for 2-3 years and have enjoyed being in the community and are excited to grow here.”
Grow With Harrison will provide additional project updates as leases are signed and information becomes available for public release.
